Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 74A (CCDC74A)

Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 74A is a human protein encoded by the CCDC74A gene, located on chromosome 2q21.1[1][3]. The protein is 420 amino acids in its longest isoform and contains two coiled-coil domains of unknown function; it is predicted to localize mainly to the nucleus but may shuttle to the cytoplasm[1]. CCDC74A is most highly expressed in the testis and trachea, with moderate expression in several other tissues including lung, brain, prostate, spinal cord, bone marrow, ovary, thymus, and thyroid gland[1].
