Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 85C (CCDC85C) is a human protein encoded by the CCDC85C gene. It is predicted to be involved in cerebral cortex development, the Notch signaling pathway, establishment of cell polarity, and radial glial cell differentiation. CCDC85C is localized to adherens junctions and may play a role in cell-cell adhesion and epithelium development, possibly through interactions with proteins of the beta-catenin family. Clinically, variations in CCDC85C are associated with congenital disorders of glycosylation and pontocerebellar hypoplasia. CCDC85C is not currently recognized as a drug target, with no known interacting drugs or established safety concerns or biomarker roles[1][4][9][10][11].
