Target intelligence / Profile preview
Coiled-coil-helix-coiled-coil-helix domain containing 2 pseudogene 4 (CHCHD2P4) is a nonfunctional, processed pseudogene present in the human genome. As a retrocopy of the CHCHD2 gene, CHCHD2P4 does not contain regulatory elements or the coding potential to generate a functional protein product. Like other pseudogenes, it may have sequence similarity to its parental gene but is considered "dead on arrival" in terms of biological function. There are currently no known disease associations, regulatory roles, or therapeutic targeting relevant to this pseudogene[4][7].
