Target intelligence / Profile preview
Coiled-coil-helix-coiled-coil-helix domain containing 2 pseudogene 7 (CHCHD2P7) is a processed pseudogene located in the human genome (gene ID: 100874509) and represents a nonfunctional DNA sequence homologous to the protein-coding gene CHCHD2. Like other pseudogenes, CHCHD2P7 does not encode a functional protein and is not involved in disease, biological function, or pharmaceutical intervention. Pseudogenes are typically remnants of ancestral genes that have lost their ability to be expressed as functional proteins, though in rare cases some pseudogenes may acquire novel regulatory functions; no such activity has been described for CHCHD2P7.
