Target intelligence / Profile preview
COL23A1 antisense RNA 1 (COL23A1-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed from the antisense strand of the COL23A1 gene locus[3]. Like other lncRNAs, its primary function is likely related to the regulation of expression of its sense counterpart (COL23A1) or neighboring genes at the transcriptional or post-transcriptional level. There is currently insufficient evidence in major genetic or pharmacological databases to designate COL23A1-AS1 as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or protein-coding molecule. Its precise molecular mechanisms and clinical significance remain uncharacterized in the current biomedical literature[3].
