Overview

Competing endogenous lncRNA 3 for miR-645 (CERNA3/CTA) is a human long non-coding RNA gene located on chromosome 8. It acts as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA), participating in post-transcriptional gene regulation by sponging microRNAs (such as miR-645), thus affecting the stability and translation of target mRNAs. Such lncRNAs are integral parts of ceRNA networks, which have been implicated in processes including cancer development, cell proliferation, immune response, and therapeutic resistance.
