Target intelligence / Profile preview
Complement component 5a des-Arg (C5a des-Arg) is a biologically active peptide derived from complement component C5a. It acts as a less potent anaphylatoxin and chemoattractant compared to C5a, playing a role in inflammation and immune responses by interacting with C5AR1 and C5L2 receptors. It is generated through enzymatic removal of a terminal arginine residue from C5a.
C5a des-Arg interacts with C5AR1 (CD88) and C5L2 (GPR77) receptors to mediate its effects.
