The HLA/TCR complex for KIF20A-derived epitopes refers to the molecular assembly in which a human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I molecule, such as HLA-A*2402, presents a short peptide fragment derived from kinesin family member 20A (KIF20A) on the surface of a cancer cell. This peptide–HLA complex is recognized by a T cell receptor (TCR) on cytotoxic T lymphocytes, triggering a targeted immune response[1]. KIF20A is a mitotic kinesin overexpressed in various cancers and is associated with poor prognosis[2][6][8][9][10]. The peptide-specific CTL response can selectively kill tumor cells, making this HLA/KIF20A/TCR interaction a promising target for cancer immunotherapies such as peptide vaccines and adoptive T cell transfer[1][2][6][10]. Safety concerns center on immune overactivation and possible reactivity against healthy tissues.
