Overview
The **Conception vessel (Ren Mai, CV)** is one of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It runs along the ventral midline from the perineum to the chin, governing and nourishing all the Yin meridians. It is especially important in TCM for regulating reproductive health, fluid and blood balance, and is considered essential in conditions affecting fertility, menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause. Acupuncture points along this vessel are used for various TCM therapies, particularly in gynecological, urogenital, and some digestive and respiratory conditions. This vessel does not correspond to any anatomical structure, protein, or receptor recognized in modern molecular medicine
