COPG2 imprinted transcript 1 (COPG2IT1) is a paternally expressed long non-coding RNA transcribed from the twentieth intron of the COPG2 gene. It is classified as an imprinted antisense RNA and plays a role in epigenetic gene regulation. The biological functions and clinical significance of COPG2IT1 remain largely uncharacterized, though genetic associations have linked variants near COPG2IT1 to depressive disorders. No drugs or therapeutic modalities target COPG2IT1 directly, and it is not considered a standard drug target class such as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or transcription factor[3][5][6].
