Coronary artery circulation

Coronary circulation is the movement of blood through the network of coronary arteries and veins that supply the heart muscle (myocardium) with oxygen and nutrients and remove metabolic waste[1][3][5][7]. The two main coronary arteries (right and left) branch off the aorta and wrap around the heart, delivering oxygen-rich blood to the muscle tissue. Problems with this circulation, such as blockages due to atherosclerosis, can lead to coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction (heart attack), and other heart conditions[1][3][5][7][9]. "Coronary artery circulation" refers to a physiological system, not a molecular drug target. It does not have canonical molecular nomenclature, classification, or direct drug interactions as a molecule or receptor would, and thus, is not a valid entry for structured molecular target analysis[1][3][5][7][9].
