Overview

Cortexin-3 (CTXN3) is a protein encoded by the CTXN3 gene, predicted to be a membrane-associated protein expressed in the kidney and brain. There are no reports of it functioning as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other canonical therapeutic target class. Its precise biological function remains poorly characterized, but mutations in CTXN3 have been associated with rare neurological disorders such as schwannomatosis and vestibular schwannomatosis. No interacting drugs or modulators are described, and it is not currently regarded as a therapeutic target[1][2][4].
