Overview

Coxsackievirus A10 (CV-A10) is a non-enveloped, single-stranded RNA virus belonging to the Enterovirus genus within the Picornaviridae family. It is a major causative agent of hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) and can also cause other severe illnesses. CV-A10 enters host cells via the KREMEN1 (KRM1) receptor. There are currently no approved vaccines or specific antiviral drugs for CV-A10 infections.
