Overview

CRADD antisense RNA 1 (CRADD-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene that is transcribed antisense to the CRADD gene locus. While detailed functional data specific to CRADD-AS1 is not available in curated sources, by analogy to other antisense RNAs, it may regulate the expression of the CRADD gene via modulation of chromatin state, transcription, RNA stability, or translation of the sense CRADD mRNA. There is currently no evidence that CRADD-AS1 codes for a protein, functions as a receptor, or serves as a direct therapeutic target. No established role in disease has been reported, nor are there known drugs or clinical uses targeting this molecule. Therefore, CRADD-AS1 is best classified as a non-coding RNA with presumed regulatory function based on its biotype and the general properties of antisense RNAs[5][2]. Notes on correctness: - CRADD-AS1 is not a therapeutic target (such as receptor, enzyme, or transporter), but rather an antisense RNA; it should not be classified as a canonical drug discovery target. - No evidence was found for it being involved in any approved pharmacological mechanism or for use as a diagnostic biomarker. - Because it is not a protein, not a druggable target, and detailed information about its biological or disease relevance is lacking, this entry would generally be considered incomplete for structured drug discovery or target validation purposes[5][2].
