CRLF3 pseudogene 3 (CRLF3P3)

CRLF3 pseudogene 3 (CRLF3P3) is a non-coding pseudogene related to the cytokine receptor-like factor 3 (CRLF3) gene. Pseudogenes are gene sequences similar to known genes but are generally non-functional due to the presence of disabling mutations, lack of regulatory elements, or other genomic changes. CRLF3P3 does not code for a functional protein and is therefore not considered a therapeutic target, receptor, or enzyme. The functional gene CRLF3, in contrast, is a cytokine receptor-like protein involved in neural and hematopoietic cell development and homeostasis, but the pseudogenes such as CRLF3P3 have no direct established biological or clinical relevance as drug targets.
