Target intelligence / Profile preview
The CSL transcription factor complex is a key component of the Notch signaling pathway, acting as both a transcriptional activator and repressor. Its activity is modulated by interactions with coactivators (NICD/ICN and MAML) to activate transcription and corepressors (KyoT2, MINT/SHARP, Hairless, SMRT/N-CoR, and CIR) to repress transcription. CSL regulates genes involved in cell fate decisions, proliferation, and differentiation during development and adult tissue homeostasis.
Modulation of CSL-mediated transcription (activation or repression) by targeting associated cofactors or the CSL protein itself.
