Target intelligence / Profile preview
CTAGE family member 7, pseudogene (CTAGE7P) is a human pseudogene and is a member of the CTAGE (cutaneous T-cell lymphoma-associated antigen) gene family. As a pseudogene, it does not encode a functional protein product, and its biological role, if any, remains unknown. Many pseudogenes arise from gene duplication or retrotransposition events and may accumulate mutations that render them non-functional. In some cases, pseudogenes can exert regulatory effects at the RNA level, but there is no experimentally established function or clinical relevance specific to CTAGE7P. It is not classified as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other molecule typically targeted for therapeutic intervention[1][3][4][6].
