cTAGE family member 9 (CTAGE9) is a membrane-associated protein encoded in humans and is predicted to participate in the transport of proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi apparatus, as well as in protein secretion and vesicle cargo loading[3][5]. It is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and thought to be active at ER exit sites. There is limited evidence directly linking CTAGE9 to drug targeting or therapeutic applications, and it is not classified as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or conventional therapeutic target. One of its aliases, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma-associated antigen 9, reflects potential involvement as a biomarker in certain lymphomas, but no specific drugs or mechanisms of action are known for this target[3][5].
