CXC chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3)

Target
CXCR3
Molecular classification
G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR), CXC chemokine receptors
01

Overview

CXCR3 is a G protein-coupled receptor that belongs to the CXC chemokine receptor family. It is activated by the interferon-inducible chemokines CXCL9, CXCL10, and CXCL11. The primary role of CXCR3 is to regulate leukocyte trafficking, especially directing effector T cell migration toward sites of inflammation. It plays complex roles in cancer biology, with CXCR3-A promoting proliferation/migration and CXCR3-B inhibiting proliferation/migration.
