Overview

Cyclic nucleotide-binding domain-containing protein 2 (CNBD2) is a protein encoded by the CNBD2 gene in humans. It contains a domain known for binding cyclic nucleotides like cAMP and is predicted to enable cAMP binding activity[1][4][10]. CNBD2 is essential for male fertility, playing an important role in spermatogenesis and the regulation of sperm motility by controlling the development of flagellar bending in sperm[1]. It is predicted to be located in the cytosol. To date, there are no established direct associations with major disease processes or pharmacologically validated drug interactions. The protein is primarily classified by its structural domain and not as part of a broader family of ion channels, receptors, or enzymes[1][3][4][10].
