Target intelligence / Profile preview
Cyclin G1 pseudogene 1 (CCNG1P1) is a presumed pseudogene derived from the cyclin G1 (CCNG1) locus. Pseudogenes typically arise from gene duplications or retrotranspositions and do not encode functional proteins. There is no evidence of transcriptional activity, protein expression, or biomedical significance for CCNG1P1. In contrast, the canonical cyclin G1 (CCNG1) gene is a proto-oncogene involved in cell cycle regulation and cancer, but the pseudogene itself is not recognized as a functional entity or therapeutic target in the scientific literature or major gene databases.
