Cyclophilin G (PPIG) is a member of the cyclophilin family of proteins, characterized by peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) activity. It facilitates protein folding, transport, and assembly, and regulates pre-mRNA splicing through its localization to nuclear speckles. While structurally similar to other cyclophilins like Cyclophilin A, Cyclophilin G has distinct roles related to RNA processing rather than direct immunosuppression.
