Overview

Cysteine-rich secretory protein LCCL domain-containing 2 (CRISPLD2) is a secreted protein belonging to the CRISP family and the broader mammalian CAP superfamily. It contains an LCCL domain and has alternative splice variants resulting in multiple isoforms. CRISPLD2 has been reported to promote extracellular matrix assembly and may have functions in protease inhibition, morphogenesis, and possibly other paracrine/endocrine roles. No drugs are currently known to target CRISPLD2, nor is it prominently associated with major disease pathology outside of a genetic association with orofacial clefting. Synonyms include CRISP11, LCRISP2, and LGL1, among others.
