Cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CysLT1R) is a G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) that primarily mediates the biological effects of cysteinyl leukotrienes, which are lipid mediators derived from arachidonic acid metabolism. Activation of CysLT1R leads to airway bronchoconstriction, increased vascular permeability, recruitment of eosinophils and neutrophils, and other inflammatory responses. It is a key drug target for anti-asthmatic therapies.
