Overview

Cytochrome P450 family 1 subfamily D member 1, pseudogene (CYP1D1P), is a non-functional copy of a cytochrome P450 gene classified as a pseudogene. Pseudogenes are segments of DNA that resemble functional genes but lack the ability to encode an active protein product due to mutations or truncations. As such, CYP1D1P does not produce an enzyme and has no established role in human physiology, disease, or pharmacology. It is not a therapeutic target, and no drugs are known to interact with it.
