Target intelligence / Profile preview
Cytochrome P450 family 3 subfamily A member 51, pseudogene (CYP3A51P) is a nonfunctional pseudogene in the cytochrome P450 gene cluster on chromosome 7q21.1. It shares high sequence similarity with the functional CYP3A5 gene, encoding an inactive, nonprotein product that does not have a known biological, pharmacological, or disease-related role. This pseudogene complicates genomic studies of CYP3A5 due to high sequence similarity but is not itself a target for drugs or therapy
None (pseudogene, no known protein product or pharmacological mechanism)
