Target intelligence / Profile preview
CYTH1P1 (Cytohesin 1 pseudogene 1) is a noncoding DNA segment that closely resembles the functional CYTH1 gene, but due to accumulated mutations and genetic alterations, it does not encode a functional protein product. Pseudogenes like CYTH1P1 are considered genomic 'fossils' and generally do not contribute to cellular function or act as therapeutic targets, though some pseudogenes can, in rare cases, influence gene regulation through noncoding RNA mechanisms.
