Cytokine induced apoptosis inhibitor 1 pseudogene (CIAPIN1P) is a human pseudogene derived from the parental CIAPIN1 gene, which encodes a protein involved in apoptosis inhibition. CIAPIN1P does not produce a functional protein and is generally not expressed. Like most pseudogenes, it is a remnant of genomic duplication or retrotransposition events. CIAPIN1P is sometimes referenced by the alias HsT2384. There is no evidence linking CIAPIN1P to disease, biomarker use, or direct biological function in humans. Its status is \"Approved\" as a pseudogene by nomenclature authorities but not as a therapeutic or druggable target[1][3][5][6].
