Target intelligence / Profile preview
Cytokine release induction refers to the process by which immune cells are stimulated to secrete cytokines—small signaling proteins that mediate and regulate immunity, inflammation, and hematopoiesis. This process is central to both normal immune responses and pathological conditions such as cytokine release syndrome (CRS), also known as a "cytokine storm."
Modulation of cytokine production or signaling pathways. Corticosteroids broadly suppress cytokine release. Anti-cytokine biologics neutralize specific cytokines or their receptors. Inflammasome inhibitors target upstream triggers of cytokine release.
