DAB1 antisense RNA 1 (DAB1-AS1) is a putative long non-coding RNA transcribed antisense to the DAB1 gene. Long non-coding antisense RNAs can regulate gene expression in cis or trans, primarily by interacting with sense transcripts or influencing chromatin structure[4]. However, as of the current literature, there is no specific functional, clinical, or pharmacological information available for DAB1-AS1. Most research attention has focused on the protein-coding DAB1 gene, an adaptor protein in the Reelin signaling pathway with roles in neuronal migration and emerging involvement in leukemia[1][3]. The antisense RNA counterpart, DAB1-AS1, has not been described as a therapeutic target or as having a clear disease association. If precise information regarding DAB1-AS1 becomes available, such as publication of disease relevance, therapeutic targeting, or mechanism, the above fields should be revised accordingly. At present, "DAB1-AS1" appears to be an ill-defined entity and not an established therapeutic target.
