In the context of human health, Dac g 11 acts as a potent trigger for Type I hypersensitivity reactions, contributing significantly to seasonal allergic rhinitis and asthma (WHO/IUIS Allergen Nomenclature). While not a traditional therapeutic target like an enzyme or receptor, it is a primary target for allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT).
