DAZ associated protein 2 pseudogene 1 (DAZAP2P1)

DAZ associated protein 2 pseudogene 1 (DAZAP2P1) is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 2 that is homologous to the functional DAZAP2 gene but contains mutations such as the absence of introns and nonsense mutations, inactivating its ability to produce a functional protein[1][3][7]. DAZAP2P1 is not transcribed into a functional protein and does not participate in canonical biological pathways, disease processes, or drug interactions.
