DEAD-box helicase 19B and DEAD-box helicase 19A are highly similar ATP-dependent RNA helicases that participate in mRNA export from the nucleus, translation termination, and ribonucleoprotein complex remodeling. They are characterized by the DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) motif and are crucial for RNA metabolism and cell growth. While DDX19A and DDX19B are separately expressed and functionally documented, the existence of a stable readthrough product is unsubstantiated in biological literature.
