Target intelligence / Profile preview
DEAD-box helicase 3 pseudogene 1 (DDX3P1) is a DNA sequence that shares high sequence similarity with functional DEAD-box helicase genes, such as DDX3X and DDX3Y[5]. As a pseudogene, DDX3P1 does not produce an active RNA helicase protein and has no confirmed protein product or biological activity. Functional DEAD-box helicases such as DDX3X and DDX3Y are implicated in RNA metabolism, cell cycle control, and innate immune response[1][2][4], but DDX3P1 itself is generally only relevant in genomic annotation and evolutionary studies. It is not considered a receptor, enzyme, transporter, transcription factor, or therapeutic target.
