Target intelligence / Profile preview
DEAD-box helicase 39B pseudogene 2 (DDX39BP2), also known as BPG309N1.15, is a human pseudogene related to the DEAD-box helicase 39B (DDX39B) gene. Pseudogenes are genomic sequences similar to known genes but not functional, typically due to mutations that prevent expression of a functional protein. DDX39BP2 does not encode a protein, is not considered a therapeutic target, and has no direct biological or disease roles. All functional attributes are associated with the parent protein-coding gene DDX39B, which is involved in RNA metabolism, mRNA splicing, and export, but not with DDX39BP2 itself[8][7][5].
