Target intelligence / Profile preview
Death associated protein 3 pseudogene 1 (DAP3P1, MRPS29P1) is a non-functional genetic locus classified as a pseudogene. It is related to the functional DAP3 gene, which encodes a mitochondrial ribosomal protein involved in apoptosis and protein synthesis in mitochondria. DAP3P1 does not produce a protein and has no established role in cell biology, disease, or therapeutic interventions. The related functional protein, DAP3, plays important roles in apoptosis, mitochondrial homeostasis, and cancer biology, but DAP3P1 itself is not a therapeutic target nor a molecule of direct biological relevance. Important note: If the intended target is the functional mitochondrial ribosomal protein (DAP3, MRPS29), please use “Death associated protein 3 (DAP3, MRPS29)” instead. DAP3P1 refers only to the pseudogene, which has no direct biological or therapeutic role.
None described for DAP3P1.
