Target intelligence / Profile preview
Delta-like protein 3 (DLL3) is an inhibitory Notch ligand involved in embryonic development and vertebral segmentation. It is highly expressed in certain neuroendocrine tumors, making it a therapeutic target. DLL3 binds to NOTCH receptors primarily within the same cell and inhibits NOTCH pathway activation. High levels of DLL3 are associated with SCLC morphology and correlate with neuroendocrine marker expression.
DLL3 binds to NOTCH receptors within the same cell, inhibiting NOTCH pathway activation. Antibody-drug conjugates targeting DLL3 deliver cytotoxic payloads upon internalization.
