Target intelligence / Profile preview
Dendritic cell (DC) maturation is a complex, tightly regulated biological process in which immature dendritic cells transform into mature antigen-presenting cells capable of initiating and directing adaptive immune responses. Immature DCs are highly efficient at capturing and processing antigens but have limited ability to activate T cells. Upon encountering specific stimuli—such as pathogens, inflammatory cytokines, or danger signals—DCs undergo maturation, acquiring the capacity to present antigens effectively and provide necessary co-stimulatory signals for T cell activation.
