Dendritic cell surface molecules are a diverse group of proteins expressed on the surface of dendritic cells (DCs). They play critical roles in antigen presentation, T cell activation, immune response initiation, and regulation. These molecules include MHC molecules, costimulatory molecules (CD40, CD80/CD86), pattern recognition receptors (TLRs), and subset-specific markers (CD141, CD1c, CD123). The expression and function of these molecules are dynamically regulated during DC maturation and activation, allowing DCs to fine-tune immune responses.
