Dendritic cell (DC) surface receptors are a diverse group of membrane proteins expressed on dendritic cells, which are professional antigen-presenting cells central to the initiation and regulation of immune responses. These receptors play critical roles in pathogen recognition, antigen uptake and processing, cell migration, T-cell activation, and the induction of immune tolerance or immunity. Major classes include Pattern Recognition Receptors (PRRs) such as TLRs and CLRs, co-stimulatory molecules like CD80 and CD86, MHC molecules for antigen presentation, and chemokine receptors like CCR7. Targeting these receptors can modulate immune responses for vaccines, cancer immunotherapy, and autoimmune diseases.
