Target intelligence / Profile preview
The structural antigens of Dengue virus (DENV) are proteins that form part of the mature virion particle. These include the Capsid protein (C), which encapsulates the viral RNA genome; the pre-membrane/Membrane protein (prM/M), involved in virion assembly and maturation; and the Envelope protein (E), the major surface glycoprotein responsible for receptor binding, membrane fusion, and eliciting neutralizing antibody responses. These proteins are the targets for neutralizing antibodies and play critical roles in viral entry and replication.
