DEPDC1-AS1 does not directly encode a protein and is not considered a traditional therapeutic target such as an enzyme or receptor, but it is studied as a prognostic biomarker in oncology because of its regulatory role in cancer progression[1][4][5]. No drugs are currently known to interact specifically with DEPDC1-AS1, and its mechanisms of action are distinct from classic drug targets: it acts mainly by modulating RNA-protein interactions involved in mRNA stability[4][5].
