These proteins are the primary targets of allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT), where they are administered in controlled doses to induce immunological desensitization. This therapeutic approach aims to shift the patient's immune profile from an IgE-mediated hypersensitivity toward a state of tolerance characterized by increased regulatory T cells and IgG4 blocking antibodies (PMID: 27502294). Mechanism of action
