Target intelligence / Profile preview
AR-C124910XX is the principal active metabolite of ticagrelor, a widely used antiplatelet medication. It is formed in vivo by O-deethylation of ticagrelor and retains pharmacological activity similar to its parent compound. AR-C124910XX acts as an inhibitor of the P2Y12 receptor on platelets, preventing ADP-induced platelet aggregation and reducing thrombotic risk in patients with acute coronary syndromes or other cardiovascular conditions treated with ticagrelor.
Reversible P2Y12 receptor antagonist
