DIAPH1 antisense RNA 1 (DIAPH1-AS1) is a long noncoding RNA gene situated in antisense orientation to the DIAPH1 gene on human chromosome 5. Although its sequence and genomic location are annotated, its biological function, involvement in disease, or use as a drug target remains undocumented in the current literature. Antisense lncRNAs are generally known for their putative roles in gene regulation, especially influencing the expression of their sense counterparts—suggesting that DIAPH1-AS1 may modulate DIAPH1 gene expression[6]. However, no functional, mechanistic, or disease relevance data are available for DIAPH1-AS1 itself in current sources.
