Target intelligence / Profile preview
Disks large homolog 4 (DLG4), also known as postsynaptic density protein 95 (PSD-95) or synapse-associated protein 90 (SAP-90), is a key postsynaptic scaffolding protein that plays a critical role in synaptogenesis and synaptic plasticity by providing a platform for clustering crucial synaptic proteins at the postsynaptic density of neurons. Alterations in DLG4 expression or function have been linked to neurological disorders involving impaired synapse formation or plasticity.
