Divergent protein kinase domain 2A (DIPK2A, also C3orf58, DIA1, HASF, GoPro49, among other aliases) encodes a protein believed to function as a kinase localized in the Golgi membrane and the extracellular space. It participates in signal transduction pathways with roles in cardiac cell proliferation via paracrine signaling and activation of the PI3-kinase, AKT, and CDK7 signaling pathway. It is associated with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and intellectual disabilities. Its protein structure relates to the divergent protein kinase domain family, indicating possible kinase activity that may be regulated by calcium, but its exact substrates and druggability remain poorly defined
