Target intelligence / Profile preview
DLGAP5 pseudogene 2 (DLGAP5P2) is a non-coding pseudogene bearing sequence similarity to the protein-coding DLGAP5 gene (discs large-associated protein 5), also known as HURP or hepatoma up-regulated protein. Unlike DLGAP5, which encodes a spindle-associated cell cycle protein involved in tumor progression and several signaling pathways[1][2][4], DLGAP5P2 does not produce a functional protein and has no defined role in cellular processes, disease mechanisms, or drug interaction. Because it is a pseudogene and not a protein-coding target, it is not considered a receptor, enzyme, or any other actionable therapeutic target[3].
