DNAJC19P3 is a pseudogene in the human genome derived from the DnaJ heat shock protein family (Hsp40) member C19 gene. Pseudogenes are DNA sequences that resemble functional genes but are typically nonfunctional due to disabling mutations or lack of proper regulatory elements. They do not encode functional proteins and rarely serve as drug targets. While some pseudogenes can regulate parental gene expression or partake in noncoding RNA processes, there is currently no evidence that DNAJC19P3 is expressed or has a physiological function in humans
