DnaJ heat shock protein family member C8 (DNAJC8) is a co-chaperone protein belonging to the heat shock protein 40 (HSP40) family, specifically the DNAJ subfamily C. DNAJC8 is involved in several cellular processes, including regulation of the spliceosome, nucleocytoplasmic transport, and cell cycle progression. Elevated expression of DNAJC8 has been observed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and is associated with poor prognosis, advanced tumor stage, and vascular invasion. Its critical role in oncogenesis and tumor progression makes DNAJC8 a potential prognostic marker and therapeutic target, particularly in HCC[1][2].
